"There’s something deeply rewarding about seeing a functioning, ergonomic, and beautiful object come to life in 3D, especially when it’s something I’ve designed and made myself."
From a young age, I was captivated by art and design across a range of mediums. I’ve always found making things with my hands to be therapeutic, empowering, and a powerful emotional outlet alongside my academic studies.
I chose furniture design because, for me, it’s the perfect balance of creative freedom and logical thinking, learning how to balance function with aesthetics. From sketching and CAD to hands-on making, every stage of the process offers a new opportunity for me grow, experiment, and build confidence in my skills and ideas which I continue to find extremely exciting.
There’s something deeply rewarding about seeing a functioning, ergonomic, and beautiful object come to life in 3D, especially when it’s something I’ve designed and made myself.
But ultimately, what drives my work in furniture (and in design more broadly) is the desire to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives and the planet. Whether that’s through creating furniture that improves everyday comfort and convenience, enhances a space, or helps reduce environmental impact, I want my work to have purpose and positive impact.
